Make a Difference Day

This year, our staff voted to collect donations for Jessie's Place, an advocacy center for abuse victims.  Throughout the month of October, we collected donations from customers and staff. We raised over $2,900.00. Jessie's Place will use this money to purchase new weight scales, blood pressure cuffs, and other medical supplies. Thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause! For 2009 we gathered items to support the United Ways Pack a Pail program. Our employees donated hundreds of items to assist needy families in our community. In 2008, employees of the Tax Collector's Office gathered supplies to donate the CASA. The items donated included: towels, linens, paper goods, personal hygiene products, laundry detergent, food, diapers, a crock pot, and gas gift cards. CASA / Citrus Abuse Shelter Association, gives shelter to women who have been victims of domestic violence. They offer support and outreach services to victims.
